Apprentice and Journeyman Training

At Greiner Electric, we take great pride in our continued journeyman education and apprentice training program. Through our membership with ABC and AGC we are able to enroll all new unlicensed employees in an accredited apprentice training program at CITC. This is a four-year on the job training and classroom participation program. Greiner Electric considers this apprenticeship class a condition of employment. A number of Greiner Electric’s field foremen have taught at CITC, and our Vice President of Operations is President-Elect of CITC.

Journeymen are offered the opportunity to take a wide range of continuing education classes through ABC and AGC, as well as classes conducted in-house. Classes in-house include training on First Aid and CPR, Rigging, Confined Space, Forklift, Powder Actuated Tools, Arc Flash, Aerial Work Platform, OSHA 10-Hour, and OSHA 30-Hour.

Greiner’s Strength Through Education Program (STEP)

Greiner’s Strength through Education Program (STEP) also offers continued training outside of the CITC curriculum to all employees especially the journeymen and foreman at our Littleton Office.  Training covers all aspects of the trade from design applications, code updates, management programs, and individual specific growth plans. We also have vendors presenting new innovation in the electrical trade to keep everyone abreast of new ideas in electrical design for our preconstruction and construction processes.
