COVID-19 Update from Greiner Electric

What We're Doing to Protect our Employees, Customers, and Partners

March 17, 2020

At Greiner Electric, we hold the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees, their families, and our valued customers and partners in the highest regard. Our team has adopted a proactive and precautionary approach in response to the COVID-19 virus outbreak. Comprised of members of our executive leadership team, we’ve formed a dedicated task force to monitor and evaluate the rapidly changing information and recommendations coming from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Colorado Department of Health and Environment, and other agencies. The following outlines the various precautions and protocol currently in place to safeguard the health of our staff and business operations. We send our thoughts to anyone affected by COVID-19.
  • As mentioned, our task force is continually monitoring the changing situation and regularly communicating updates to employees, customers, and vendors.
  • Effective 3/17/2020, all employees with the ability to work remotely have been afforded the opportunity to do so.
  • All in-office visits with non-employees have been temporarily suspended to reduce foot traffic and minimize the exposure of employees not able to work remotely.
  • As a precautionary measure, all of Greiner's office and prefabrication facilities are scheduled for a deep-clean on 3/18/2020. Additional hand sanitizer, antibacterial wipes, cleaning solution, and hand soap have been made available for employee use. Employees are encouraged to regularly sanitize thei rwork spaces and practice good hygiene.
  • Job sites have been equippped with additional hand washing and sanitation stations. Added signage and updates provided during briefings and Tool Box Talks inform field personnel of the importance of adhering to heightened hygiene protocol.
  • Business-related travel has been suspended.
  • Greiner has the technology in place to support working remotely. We do not expect a disruption in our teams' availability by email or phone. Virtual meetings and teleconferencing are encouraged to minimize non-essential in-person contact.
  • Employees are asked to avoid gatherings of more than 10 people until April 30, 2020. Virtual meetings are encouraged as an alternative.
  • Anyone feeling ill or who believes to have been exposed to someone experiencing COVID-19 symptoms is encouraged to stay at home and contact their healthcare provider. All employees reporting illness (COVID-19 or other) will need to be cleared by their medical provider and our Safety and HR departments before returning to work.
  • Employees are able to use paid time off (PTO) which covers sick leave. We will work with individuals on a case-by-case basis to make specific arrangements.
  • Any updates related to specific projects will be communicated and addressed by our Operations leadership team.
Again, with information changing rapidly, our team is monitoring and adapting our strategy as new details become available. We will continue to communicate with our employees, customers, and vendors over the course of the following days and weeks. We wish you all safety and good health.
